TTE, Middlesbrough Receives Major Facelift

A few months ago we were asked to look at improving the facade of TTE's Dorman building as part of major refurbishment works taking place.

TTE specialises in the delivery of technical training and consultancy services to both UK and International clients covering sectors such as oil and gas, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, downstream petrochemical and the contracting industry. Surpluses made from their business go back into the local community in order to provide training opportunities such as apprenticeships and off the job training to the immediate region.

The building was indeed in great need of a facelift - the panels being a mixture of glass (a few broken), polycarbonate which had discoloured over time and old, black painted panels. Our brief was to come up with an eye-catching design to reflect TTE branding and which was to be fitted externally.

A visual (centre pic), created by our in-house design team, was presented to the customer who loved and approved the design immediately! First job was to replace the broken panes of glass, then the artwork was created and printed onto vinyl with a specialist coating to protect it from our inclement English weather! A two man team fitted the vibrantly printed and solid black vinyl panels over two days (bottom pic of finished job) - luckily the weather was perfect for the external installation and the fitting team even came back with sun tans!!
